In the Spring of 2020, we watched in horror as seniors around the country were forced to stay in hospitals and nursing homes without the benefit of visits from family and friends. We listened to the concerns of loved ones pleading with Care Administrators to allow them to see their mothers, fathers, siblings, grandparents, as well as other loved ones and friends as they slowly deteriorated, ultimately dying, alone. There was nothing we, as an organization, could do to change that.
People from all economic backgrounds were mostly forced to stay in place. If you were fortunate enough to be discharged, and could afford in-home care, you were able to convalesce at home, or pass surrounded by loved ones. If you could not afford in-home care, you had no options. No one should die alone, locked in a facility, with loved ones fighting to simply say goodbye.
Since 2021, Day or Night Senior Care, LLC has been working hard to make sure this doesn’t happen again, ever, to anyone, simply because they could not afford to pay for in-home care. We formed a non-profit charity, Day or Night Senior Care Inc with the purpose of helping people stay out of the hospital by providing funding for in-home care. With your help, we will pay or defray the costs of in-home care for residents who can not afford to age, convalesce or pass peacefully at home.
Day or Night Senior Care Inc is a fully qualified 501(c)(3) Public Charity. Donations are fully deductible under IRC Section 170. We are listed as a Silver Transparency Level Charity on Guidestar.
